WP1 – Development of Laboratory Tools and Resources

WP1 Development of Laboratory Tools and Resources WP Leader: Dominique Rocha (INRAE) INRAE, FBN, DIAGENODE, MLU, UNILIM
Task 1.1 Generation and characterization of new bovine cell lines Task Leader: Marion Schmicke (MLU) MLU, FBN, INRAE, UNILIM
Task 1.2 Establishment of a new automated ChIP-seq protocol Task Leader: Celine Sabatel (DIAGENODE) DIAGENODE, FBN, ULIEGE, INRAE

WP1 objectives

WP1 will develop molecular biology and genomic tools (i.e., protocols) and resources (i.e., cell lines, antibodies) for further steps to deliver a comprehensive genome annotation map of the bovine genome. The new characterized cell lines will be used to create a map of functionally active structural elements in the bovine genome (WP2, 5) and for functional validation of candidate regulatory variants (WP6). In addition, they will serve as a reference and gold standard for future methodological developments in functional genome annotation. The new protocols and antibodies will enable the generation of high-quality data from the FAANG core assays for a comprehensive functional annotation map of the bovine genome.
